A friend of mine just invited me to a small new Japanese restaurant in Paris, own by a friend of hers: Benjamin. I love this tiny place, close to my appartement in Paris, near Pigalle and Place Saint-Georges.
The menu is not the same if you go there for lunch or for diner. For lunch you can find different kinds of donburi (big bowl of rice with chiken, fish, vegetables on the top), and for diner you can choose between a selection of "kushiage", kind of fried skewers, vegetables (butternut, shitake...), fish (mackerel, salmon) , meat (chiken with shiso, porc) and the famous goat cheese with honey, and very good salad, gyozas, and of course for desert a delicious macha tiramisu.
And of course you can drink japanese beer, umeshu (my favorite) or real japanese lemonade (in the bottle like you do in Japan).
