Exhibits about Japan in Paris

When you live in Paris and you want to see Japanese art, the more simple solution is the Musée Guimet. It's a museum dedicated to asian arts. And since few days,  you can see 2 nice exhibitions.

The first one is on Kabuki actors' prints.

Its' not a big exhibition, with only prints, but very nice ones made in the XVIIe. I like a lot the ones which were for the programme of the theater show, often in black (and white), with a lot of drawings and Japanese letterings.

And the second one is on theatre in Asia from Nô to Mata Hari. It was very nice to discover the asian theater in all Asia. I discovered at this point the beautiful kimono made by Itchiku Kubota, there are amazing mixing embroidery, painting with a lot of colors (not my favorite but need to be seen, and of course there are kimono for theater, not for everyday).
