For those who know me, they may have noticed how much I love gold stuffs. In my interior decoration, with the kitchen accessories, but also clothes, shoes and of course jewelry... Gold by touch but not bling bling.
If you have red "Éloge de l'ombre" by the famous Junichiro Tanisaki, you may remember that gold is always beautiful whatever the light: sun, artificial light or even better with a candle light.
In Asia (and even in church) gold is very present. A lot of dishes are with golden pattern, when they fix nice broken bowl, Japanese use "golden glue": kintsugi...
I will soon write a post on this wonderful technique, to keep your dishes for years.
For me, you can add a little touch of gold every day, everywhere. And it's very easy to do. At home for example you can put a cushion on your coach, napkins on your table, a frame on your wall, candles (because their lights make the atmosphere nicer, sweeter and more mysterious.
You can also put a drop of gold or gold powder on pastry, cake or chocolate, it can make them more extraordinary. The more famous one is of course the Palet d'or.
