In the 80' I discovered the famous toaster Dualit. For me it was the perfect toaster with its 1950 style finish. And when my parents went to London in the 90', they offer me one. I was so happy. I used it a lot, and take it in every places I lived. But few days ago, my beautiful toaster past away. Every time I try to grill bread, it turns out all the electricity in the house.
Unfortunately I have to be separated of it, after more than 30 years of its good services. I don't know if I'm going to buy a new one. Of course you can find a toaster for few euros, but there are not like this one.
Writing this post, I learn the toaster was invented in 1952 by Max Gort-Barten in England, and take its famous design in the 70'.In the 50' it was the first toaster with a timer! No change to burn your bread.
Bye bye toaster...
