Nougat Maison Jonquier - Ollioules
One thing very typical from Provence is the "nougat", usually we have it with the 13 desserts for Christmas, and I love the one from Sénéquier - Saint Tropez but I found a very good one near my holidays' place, a traditional and handmade one, in a place named Maison Jonquier where they've been making nougat since 1885!
The original recipe is not complicated, nougat is made with almond and honey, sugar, water, pistachios and white egg. This is for the white one, soft and sweet.
Now you can also find new flavor, like coconut, rose, cranberry, violette, mojito ... and much more. You can visit the factory and of course taste the nougat.
